Raymond Charles Moreno, Jr. was born on August 1, 1994, in Los Angeles, California. He departed from this world on November 28, 2024, at Monterey Park Hospital, after a brave battle with pneumonia. He passed peacefully, with his beloved sister Lian by his side, a testament to the strong bonds of family that defined his life. His journey through life touched many hearts, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Raymond graduated from West Covina High School in 2012, earned his Security guard certification in 2014 and later earned his Pharmacy Technician certification in 2020, demonstrating his commitment to personal and professional growth. His educational pursuits reflected his dedication and aspiration attributes that defined much of his life.
Raymond was known for his great sense of humor and his caring, and emotionally sensitive nature. He had an extraordinary ability to lift the spirits of those around him, often bringing laughter and joy into every situation. He was incredibly caring and emotionally sensitive, often being the person others turned to for comfort and support. His ability to empathize made him a cherished friend to many, as he offered a listening ear and a gentle heart.
Raymond had a love for reading that transported him into different worlds. He found joy in delving into books and frequently visited the library, always on the lookout for his next adventure in literature. He enjoyed attending vegan food pop-ups, delighting in the creativity and passion associated with plant-based cuisine. A trip to the movie theater was another favorite pastime; he relished in the excitement of watching new films and experiencing stories come alive on screen. He also loved listening to music.
Raymond is survived by his siblings, Lian, Angel, Arthur, and James. His father Raymond; His beloved grandmother Geraldine; his cherished nieces, Kaylee, Aliyah, and Ariyah, and close friend Juliana also mourns his passing, as their bond enriched both of their lives. Each of these relationships brought him joy, companionship, and support throughout his life. His journey through life touched many hearts, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother Gina , whose love and memory remained a guiding light in Raymond's life.
Raymond’s journey, though cut short, was one filled with compassion, joy, and laughter. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that will continue to inspire those who had the honor of knowing him.
