Marc Anthony Gilmour

It is with profound sadness, the family of Marc Anthony Gilmour announces his passing on November 6, 2025 in San Diego, California. He passed away peacefully in his home. He was born on January 7, 1965 to his beloved mother, whom he is survived by, Debbie A. Gilmour and his father, whom he is preceded by, Arthur "Art" Esparza. He is also survived by his brother, Dan A. Gilmour, his step-sisters, Marcia Andrea Esparza Thomas and Michelle Esparza Daigle, his aunt, Lisa R. Romero, his beloved dog, Louie (whom he has now reunited with along with his grandparents, Louie and Gladys Romero). He has several other family members including cousins, nephews and nieces. He was born and raised in San Diego, California attending Forward Elementary School, Pershing Jr. High School and graduating from Patrick Henry High School. He loved to play softball, football, frisbee, golf, tennis, and many more sport activities. He was an avid Charger fan, Padres fan, boxing and golf fan. He loved to read many books of all likes. His heart was kind, his mind was fierce and he had a brave spirit. He had an incredible artistic talent that allowed him to create free-hand drawings that were out of this world. He was gifted with one special talent that no one could duplicate and that was his love and bond with animals. Animals, mostly dogs, would gravitate toward Marc and vice versa with a bond so special and surreal. He took that talent to a higher level that no one could touch. His love for animals and the love he received in return was a true gift that will forever be remembered. He has a large following of life long friends that loved and adored him with special memories and great stories to share. The outpouring of condolences, support and prayers sent to his family from all is so appreciated words cannot express. 

Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Marc on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Tecolote Shores North picnic gazebo from 12 noon to 3 p.m. (Located south of the Mission Bay Resort in East Mission Bay).

 Marc is loved by many and missed by more. "Spread your wings and fly high our special angel"
