With broken hearts, we share the news that Christine Ann Snee (61), our beloved daughter and sister, passed away suddenly on September 9, 2026. Christine was born on March 19, 1965 at Fort Monmouth, NJ, to Elizabeth Wang Chapell and the late Thomas Russell Snee. Athletic and smart, Christine graduated from Neptune High School, where she excelled on the softball field, and Lafayette College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in math. After graduation, she headed west to San Diego, CA, a city she loved and made her lifelong home.

Christine spent her working hours as a medical technical writer, interacting with people all over the world. In her personal life, she was a fierce animal advocate, a loving daughter and sister, and a generous and doting aunt. She loved her dogs with all of her heart, and Callie, Rodin, and Casper lived long happy lives with her because of it.

Christine's generous nature, ready laugh, and quick wit made her fun to be around, whether attending San Diego Seals lacrosse games with friends, traveling back east for family gatherings, or arranging girls trips at home and abroad. She left us far too soon and will be sorely missed.

Christine is survived by her mother Elizabeth Chapell and stepfather Charles Chapell, Jr.; sister Dorothy Falk (Andy); brothers Frank Snee (Mary), Robert Chapell (Christina), and Chuck Chapell (Terry); and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Services will be private. If you wish to make a donation in Christine's memory, please consider the American Heart Association or your local animal rescue.
