Amy passed away after a 19-year battle with cancer. Amy was a Wife, Mother, Grandmother and a friend to many. She loved everyone she came in contact with, and they loved her.
Amy was a Vietnam Era Veteran who served in the Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller in Spain. She worked in Navy payroll for many years then was hired by Poway Unified School District where she retired after a 20-year career.
Amy was proud to be a wife and mother and loved us all unconditionally. She loved to garden and was often found in the yard tending to her plants. One of her loved pastimes was riding up the coast while watching the waves crash on the beach.
I met Amy in 1979, and we married in 1982. Her passing has left a huge hole in my heart, and I will miss her until we meet again.
Amy is survived by her husband Guy Anastasia, Son Anthony Anastasia, Daughters Kelly Anastasia and Lora Anastasia, granddaughter Aubriana Harris and her siblings Tom Anderson, David Foote and Nora Easton.
Friends and family thank you for your support during this time. Instead of flowers please make a donation to Susan G. Komen in her name and help find a cure for breast cancer.
