Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Abigail Rose Oyer, age 26, whose bright spirit, kind heart, and love for life touched all who knew her.

Born November 11, 1999, she already had a deep sense of adventure and compassion, Abby made lasting memories throughout her life. She attended Colorado State University, where she built lifelong friendships and pursued her passions with determination and enthusiasm.

Among the things that brought her the greatest joy was her beloved dog Willy, who was not simply her pet, but a cherished member of her family. Whether spending time outdoors, sharing quiet moments at home, or creating new adventures, she never went anywhere without him.

Abby was also drawn to the beauty and serenity of the ocean. Most recently she was living in San Diego where she found peace along the shoreline, inspired by the sound of the waves and the endless horizon. The ocean reflected her free-spirited nature and her appreciation for life's simple wonders.

Those who knew Abby will remember her for her warm smile, generous heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for family and friends. She brought light into every room she entered and leaves behind countless treasured memories.

She is lovingly survived by her parents Jay Oyer and Lori Joy Oyer; her brother Alex Oyer; her grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

Though her time with us was far too short, the love she shared and the lives she touched will never be forgotten. Her spirit will live on in the waves of the ocean she loved, in the loyal companionship of her dog, and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A celebration of life will be held on August 27, 2026 from 4-7 pm in the Annuals Garden at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Admission and parking are free.
